NewsITALIAN TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION INVEST TO MANAS
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT By the decision of the Board of Directors of Kyrgyzstan Airlines and I.T.I. S.p.a. (Italian Technology
Innovation) Group of Italy, a new joint venture (joint stock) company called Manas Management Company has designed and will
equip a new Air Cargo and Air Catering complex that will be located at Manas International Airport. Mediocredito Centrale
of Rome is funding the complex by seven years loan facility granted. This is the first foreign investment in the Manas International
Airport guaranteed by the State Property Fund. It will be operated on a "turn key" basis at a cost of $10,5 million US dollars.
I.T.I.'s main construction contractors are Tekyapi Group of Istanbul and Bishkek. Under I.T.I. supervision they will construct
both the Air Cargo and Air Catering buildings and also install mechanical and electrical systems. The complex will be constructed
to the highest International and IATA standards in compliance with World Bank environmental guidelines with new modern equipment
for the rapid loading and unloading of air cargo from both Russian and Western built aircraft, using Main Deck Loaders and
Cargo Master Lifting Transporters. Special boarding facilities, with absolute minimum of customs paperwork, will be organized
to attract the very important transit business that is essential to the future growth of Manas as a Hub. The flight kitchen
will contain the latest Italian manufactured equipment designed initially to produce 2000 meals per day, suitable for first,
business and economy class passengers and custom produced meals for private jets, air freight crews. The I.T.I Group of Companies,
with Headquarters in Bresia Italy, has production plants located in Italy, France and Romania consisting of 3 divisions manufacturing,
civil engineering and construction and the International Division. They are responsible for this turnkey project and the on
going system management and training. To ensure the efficiency levels demanded by foreign carriers, paper work will be implemented
based on the latest industry standards and Manas Management intend to work very closely with the Customs Department in order
