RADIO RUSSIA: UKRAINE: DEBTS FORCE CRIMEAN RADIO OFF THE AIR
The Crimean republican radio, a branch of the state television and radio
company Krym [Crimea], which has already been taken off the air, is also under
the threat of liquidation.
The residents of Crimea were unable to find it on the familiar
wavelengths today.
This radio station has been broadcasting in seven languages: Russian,
Ukrainian, Crimean Tatar, Armenian, German, Bulgarian and Greek.
The state television and radio Krym has been taken off the air because
of its debt to communication agencies. The amount of the debt has exceeded 100,000
dollars. The radio company has not received any state budget subsidy
